CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSON’S MISSING FROM HOME AND MISSING FROM CARE PROCEDURE A new protocol between West Yorkshire Police and Children & Young People’s Social Care has been developed to respond to children and young people who go missing from home or care. This is due to be included in the next update of the West Yorkshire Consortium Safeguarding Procedures Manual (which is slightly delayed in order to take account of the revised Working Together 2010 guidance) and will replace (11.1.4) which focuses on children missing from care. In the interim the protocol is available here in PDF format.
