What is an enquiry? |
It is when someone is worried about you
and we want to make sure you are OK.
We know that grown-ups and
other young people hurt children or
make them feel bad or afraid.
You need to know that this should not
happen. |
|
|
What do we do? |
We are called social workers and our job is to listen
to you and for you to tell us what happened. We may need
to ask the police to be involved. This will
be your time to ask any questions and for you to tell us
what you think should happen. |
|
|
What will happen next? |
We will need to talk to other people, like your family,
as we will need to find out what has happened and why. |
|
|
|
Once we have spoken to everyone we need to speak to,
we will decide on what should happen. It maybe that nothing
needs to happen. Or we may offer your family some help, and
sometimes we need to arrange a meeting called a Child Protection
Conference. |
